On the River Clyde 26/05/09

The Waverley Paddle Steamer ('last ocean going in the world is a proud
claim'); a cruise liner at the unattractive Greenock 'Container base' (I
suppose that all container bases are not too bonny, unless you like
multi-coloured cubes and oblongs!).
The lovely 'tweeting' black guillemots.
Early evening, a freighter going home or to some 'other place 'scrappy'
(Eastern Europe maybe..) I'd say with metal scrap, or other rich Glasgow
detritus (err, 'recyclable material?) on board, coming down past the quarry
and then Dumbarton Rock.

By Custom Quay House early 5th Sept 08

A strange cloud set out to the East with an intense early morning Sun.
Bruiser came out at the right time. Overlooking the Sugar Boat and
Helensburgh, the cool bank of low lying mist gave a slightly uncommon
view...
I'm not sure what the blue green boat is but maybe fishery protection or
marine survey ship...?
