Tom Weir's sunset Flanders Moss 29/12/1996
My date was stupid, but Tom was 82!
I think you’ll agree that I wasn’t too far adrift with the picture though!
Tom must have been travelling much earlier evening than me, I think he notes about 4 o’clock…December has such short days and his pic is still quite ‘yellow/yellow-orange’, mine is lower setting Sun and rather pinker, so lower set sun, thus the red rays coming through over the horizon (ROYGBIV – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet).
My timing in mid September was just about 7 p.m.
