An interesting homewards journey in a mixed light, varied weather pattern -
of misty rain blowing in over the tops and the bright watery light cheering
things up.
Nearly a month ago already....into Autumn now and the days are shortening.
The area about Kingussie is called Strathspey and Badenoch, and the hills
are the Monadh Liaths. A great reference book is 'The Munros, Scottish
Mountaineering Club' (hill walkers guide); this of course covers all the 284
or so of them over 3000 feet high (and other complications like the need for
a rise and fall of some hundreds of feet between adjacent tops for them to
get singular recognition, etc!).
