Scotland mostly - through nsl4u

From a grey start away from our friends at Carducci, we soon hit the trail
and did the vf and ledges and crossed a couple of ice field remnants.
As we climbed to the col for the last final major descent, the weather had
closed in and it was cooler and showery, though not too bad at all.
Coming down from the col, it was very 'bouldery screed' and a bit dreich,
but half way down it faired and got a lot warmer and clearer...

Coming off the rugged slopes we then zig-zagged through a light natural
forest that thickened towards the big valley floor, and the scree-filled,
washed-out channel...

The starting place of our first day's trek into the big mountains was safely
achieved by all, however the tail-enders managed to get a real 'drookin'
from a very heavy storm that lasted for about an hour and a half...Still,
good food and beers rekindled the spirits.

Then a steady and enjoyable fair weather traipse out to the bus terminus,
and then wending our way to a very enjoyable and memorable last night at San
Candido ... A magic week rolling towards a special close.
