Drumlanrig Castle Field and Fare Show 20th August 2011
invitation to join them and sooo glad we did.
It was a bright day with lots going on all round and in the ring...the birds
of prey were brilliant and the demos of the hawks using hunting techniques
was superb (the two men with hands in a 6" frame...!!) showing how the
raptors will dart into the smallest void in scrub or in the trees....
The fly fishing targeting was tough given a windy day, but there were a few
'spot on' the fish!
The bi-plane demo was really excellent and the pilot was in his
'element'...'wonderful men in their flying machines'!
A fantastically organised day and well worth the entry money....great
entertainment all round. Try it, but take the wellies just in case!
