The River Kelvin, like all water, takes on such light and
brilliance....always a treat to see the changing moods and colours.
The male goosander (fish-eater) was quite bold, nicely posed for some
sharper-than-expected shots.....the auburn headed female was very shy, and
took off as soon as we got near.

The silhouetted trees are on the Antonine Wall....
The 17th ''Denty Drap'' is a couthy, scoatish-tongue name for a short 166
yard tester..those silly men chasing a dumb, wee, hard white ball that
sometimes goes astray, and quite rarely doesn't...!"

Is it just me or do you also love the honking, urgent, supportive calls of
the geese, and their social flocking and gatherings.
Power merchants covering huge distances at the call of nature...and so wary
of those who have hunted them for 'thousands of years'...?
Evocative travellers who bring awe, and set spirits soaring, at the prospect
of 'where they've been' and 'where are they going to', in strong arrow-head
flight?
