An atmospheric journey through this magical, tragic and clan-historic
place, when the MacDonalds and Campbells were involved in a low time of
inter-clan treachery...'The Massacre of Glencoe'.
It is quite likely though that the 'emotional connection' is not entirely
accurate, because whenever there is decent rain (quite often) the hill sides
pour down in streamers of tumbling water and some spectacular waterfalls
cascade over ledges and precipitous walls into the glen. The root to the
truth would be was it historically referred to as the 'Glen of Weeping'
before 1692...?

The Aonach Eagach ridge is of course, famous to thousands of hill-goers,
though not for the faint hearted. The other side is equally impressive and
it must rank as one of the most awesome Scottish glens, though there are
very many which come into that class...variety coming through the underlying
geological structuring.
