Scotland mostly - through nsl4u

                                                                             
Andy and Joanne had done a  great 6 days and Mary and I accompanied them to the finish - a great result through a great week.
Spectacular scenery, lots of social on the way northwards and seeing Scotland at it's best.

From Kinlochleven, climbing up into the gave rise to grand views of Loch Leven and the Pap of Glencoe..and running south the fantastic renowned Aonach Eagach Ridge....Into the Mamores, the old military road and the wide open glen heading closer to the end point....Lots of people rising to the challenge and an international  flavour from scattered Scots, English, American, Dutch, Italian....a good gaggle stretching out towards goal fulfillment.
Then the Ben pops into tantalising view...the Biggest of them all, Ben Nevis....the grand challenging 4,400 foot lump with the zigzag tourist track up and over the Red Burn, then onto the scree strewn flank that ultimately gives way to the massive boulder littered plateau summit...skirting the eerie, airy and deadly Zero Gully....

It is a fantastic culmination of vision, to give Scotland a  95 mile long distance pathway that is world renowned and visited by thousands per annum...bit part challenges, or the full thing. Whether, 5 , 7 or 10 days no-one cares..it's the achievement of personal goal setting.
