Graham and Richard did the grind, tagging up on about the last 25 miles or
so....what an event.
Quite a challenge and finished 95 miles on a really good day in 19 hours 9
minutes....Great support for charities and sooo tough an achievement.

The 'support crew', not always ''compus mentus'', were basically without
sleep for some 42 hours....itself a 'challenge'!

Because the runners are rarely more than about 5-7 miles off, it is actually
good to spectate and see all the ups ands downs, highs and lows ....
The worst drag for the runners unsupported is from Rowardennan (OK there's a
pit-stop at Inversnaid) right up the loch side to about Crianlarich.

It's funny how 'the rules' (oh dear me here we go!) don't allow 'pacing',
but at the World Championships it is done to facilitate world class times
and attempts at records!!

The lady pictured (Sharon Law) was well clear and fantastically first, not
too far behind, beating 20 hours also in 19hrs 55 mins. The winning time was
about 16hrs 11minutes Scott Bradley (27 minutes outside the record) and the
first two separated by just 10 minutes (Jan Lantink from Holland) in the
last 5-7 miles or such!! The record is by Jezz Bragg in 15hrs 44 mins.

Great results for one and all finishers - HEROES! (Even the 'starters' who
did not finish deserve commendation for courage and conviction).
