A beautiful day to be on the river side...didn't meet pals we intended to
.....kind of ''missed each other'' so to speak!
Nick (the baddie, wayward son of Dot Cotton) from Eastenders was signing
autographs for the folks near City Inn, and gave great pleasure to many
'hunters' for charitable causes Excel and Big Build...I complimented him on
his sterling efforts and he said he had really enjoyed it and thought the
event was wonderful....

Many people were out and about (I'd guess at maybe 25,000 or so?) on the
Saturday - today Sunday was every bit as lovely a day so hopefully there'd
be another fantastic crowd.

Lots to see and do and people in very good spirits and enjoying being out -
royally entertained by the Pirates, the stall holders, the Navy boys on the
minesweeper, the Army guys abseiling off the Finniston Crane (seemed almost
zip-wire style!); the jet-ski guys, the others out getting some thrill and
fun rides, then us lot having a wee refreshment, or two!
