Forth & Clyde Canal (Torrance) 4/04/09
Bailey the athlete! Spanialish eyes and spirit...loves the water under his belly, loves to fetch to please.
The Cadder Church has been on the spot since about 1150 and this one re-built from approx. 1909 I believe.
The graveyard is a font of history...the cast iron coffin being an attempt to stop grave robbers from taking stolen bodies to GLASGOW , down the canal...!!! - looks like it didn't work...hmmm. A squad of 6 rough, tough, hard men - and levitation maybe taking a couple of hours....job done, siller in pockets.
To note the duck is a gadwall, and threatened, and is quite rare......first time we've seen this one we believe..really not very similar to a mallard duck (the brown, wee wumman!).
The Moon above the large beeches on the old Antonine Wall, a bull-rush head very close to springing into seed, and the old canal lift or swing bridge (defunct).

When I was little my friend and I used to collect snails and have them as pets in a jar...(until our mums found it...)
