Scotland mostly - through nsl4u

I'm running the Cut a few times with a good work colleague 'Gordy', and luckily he isn't too phased by my intrusions to stop for photos. I just love the way the local hills and reservoirs were engineered to improve quality of life and industry below - it must have been grand to see the use of all that water slowly and surely working it's way off the Cut to the town's header reservoirs some 500-1000 feet below, then servicing the town through an expansive pipe work system. Gordon's Dad and Grandpa were workers on the water supply - 'they just loved the hills'.....

Fortunately, very popular walking, cycling and running terrain.....a great place to be. Seriously worth a visit, and the views can be stunning for maybe 50 miles, North and West best.
