Absolutely great entertainment...one of the pictures shows people cowering as the falcon came flashing through, missing by inches as she tried to snatch the bait.
Later on it came off  the top of the marquee main pole and again came past me (I'm told!) and missed by about 6 inches....and I never saw a thing though felt that something was going on.....

The falconer was really good to all those at the ring side and came pretty well close with the bird on hand to let us get some stunning pictures. On the close up on pole top, we can see those lethal talons and how the 'game' have just no chance when a strike is effective - the ''eagle'' eye is also penetrating......
The big buzzard was so different and comical by comparison to the power of the falcon, but it was also so agile and graceful and in beautiful condition... The youngsters got such a thrill. Great fun, and I didn't think it could be so stunning.
