Scotland mostly - through nsl4u

Whilst having a piece at lunchtime, at the front, got a wee snatched view of the white top beyond the lower hills, then the yacht coming up river, far side.
Later on coming home saw the coaster vessel going up-river too, past the Kelburn Log Boxes.

The mud flats are colossal and the actual navigable river course is very windy down the estuary - I think I am right in saying that since all the big river traffic stopped  many years ago the river is quite badly silted up...not enough commerce to keep it funded and to keep big channels open. The river recovers it's own...?
Just a few months back a tug boat very tragically got caught on a bank whilst towing a vessel and capsized, with the loss of 3 lives....I am not aware of the inquest result to date, but expect it to be recorded as accidental.

The Glorious Clyde has taken lives for a long time now, as well as being the key element of the City and the bringer of wealth to the 10s of thousands of shipbuilder workers, and colossal wealth to the trading families - the Tobacco Barons, the Sugar Dons, and of course the heavy engineering and shipping magnates.
