A wet Winter sortie along the R Kelvin 9th Jan. 08
wonderful, timid bird with an eerily screech-call and that 'ungainly flap'
which is so dramatically aerobatic too!
The river was pretty full (but see later!!) and this strong very cold wind
was blowing waves back up river against the strong current (OK, a joining of
forces I know, but it is kind of weird!).
The contracts of colours also lifted my spirits and I longed to be on the
frozen dusted tops on the Fells.
A good hour and half out with post-flu recovery exercise and an 'unfit
melancholy'. It was a bad End of Year ''holiday'' (he laughs, now!)
period....
The fresh air and our wonderful environment engenders a true sense of
'revives and thrives'.
Get out there and just do it, breathe it, feel it, see it! Go on, go on, go
on.
