The light improved to a warmed clarity and some stunning views - pick up the northern vista into , then looking south and east give the edge of the Gargunnock Hills and the Campsie north face with the ancient sea corries of Balglas and Allenrowie.

All this some 15-30 miles north of Glasgow....beautiful cultivated and wild open Scotland; no wonder the Trossachs is so widely renowned - the Duke's Pass being singularly spectacular; just be mindful of the Callender log traffic jam at the X about 4 p.m. onwards....!
