Scotland mostly - through nsl4u

A bit late in the day, Mary and I walked a wee favourite of ours and headed
off the main track onto the slopes of the Strathblane Hills (Campsies).
Autumnal colours, super wee glens with tumbling falls and the craggy sides
of Dumgoyne, that wee hump that is so clearly obvious from afar, whether
south (M74 coming down towards Hamilton) or north, from way above
Aberfoyle....Lots of pheasants too which are bred in the strip woods on the
lower slopes..in years gone by we have 'lifted' literally hundreds, if not
'thousands', from their foraging amongst the bracken!

Fresh air and good exercise, then a pint in the Blane Valley Arms - a fine
few hours.
